QR Code Generator

Instantly generate high-resolution, scannable QR codes to route physical traffic to your digital infrastructure.

Enter your data above to generate the code.

Codes are generated in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored. Medium error correction gives the cleanest, easiest-to-scan code; use High if the code will be printed small, on a rough surface, or with a logo placed over it. Always test-scan before printing.

What You Can Put in a QR Code

A QR code is a square barcode that a phone camera reads. The QR code generator turns text into that pattern. Common uses:

  • Website links. Send people straight to a page, a menu or a booking form.
  • WhatsApp numbers. Let customers start a chat with one scan, with no need to save a contact.
  • Business cards. Share contact details so people can save them quickly.
  • Wi-Fi details. Give guests network access without reading out a password.
  • Plain text. Share a short message, a coupon code or a serial number.

How to Use the QR Code Generator

  1. Choose what the code will contain: a link, a WhatsApp number or contact details.
  2. Enter the content. For a link, include https://. For WhatsApp, use the number with the country code.
  3. Generate the QR code.
  4. Download or save the image.
  5. Test it before you print. Scan it with two different phones.

How to Make a QR Code Scan Reliably

  • Keep strong contrast. Dark code on a light background scans best. Avoid light code on a dark background unless you have tested it.
  • Leave a quiet zone. Keep an empty margin around the code. Do not let text or images touch the edges.
  • Print it large enough. As a rule of thumb, allow at least 2 cm (about 0.8 inch) square for close-range scanning, and more for signs read from a distance.
  • Keep the content short. Short links produce simpler codes that scan faster and survive small print sizes.
  • Test before printing a batch. A bad code on 1,000 flyers is expensive.

QR codes can tolerate some damage because of built-in error correction, which comes in four levels that recover roughly 7, 15, 25 or 30 percent of the data. The standard behind the format is described by its inventor, Denso Wave, in its QR code standards overview.

When to Use a QR Code Generator

  • Restaurant and cafe menus. Link to a current menu so you can update it without reprinting.
  • Flyers and posters. Send readers to a booking page or an offer.
  • Product packaging. Link to instructions, warranty registration or reorder pages.
  • Events. Share a schedule, a ticket page or a feedback form.
  • Business cards. Let contacts save your details in one scan.
  • Customer support. Open a WhatsApp chat directly from a receipt or a shop sign.

Track Your Scans

A plain QR code does not tell you how many people used it. To measure results, add campaign tags to the link first with the UTM Link Builder, then turn that tagged link into a code. Your analytics will then show visits that came from the QR code.

Safety Tips

  • Only scan codes from sources you trust. A sticker placed over a real code can send people to a fake page.
  • Check the preview link your phone shows before you open it.
  • Use the Safe URL Extractor to inspect a link from a code you do not recognize.

QR Code Generator FAQ

Is this QR code generator free?

Yes. It is free to use and needs no sign-up.

Do the QR codes expire?

A QR code only stores the content you entered, so it does not expire by itself. If it points to a page that is later removed, the scan will fail.

Can I make a QR code for a WhatsApp number?

Yes. Enter the number in international format with the country code, and the code opens a chat when scanned.

What size should a printed QR code be?

Allow at least 2 cm square for close-range scanning, and make it larger for posters or signs that people scan from a distance.
